exam stress
It is during this exam period that I realise how playful I can be or wanna be.
The temptation is strong
The desire is huge
I really wanna go and play AGRICOLA!
It's a new board game brought by Junming, and I love it so!
But...
My determination is still firm
My self-instilled discipline is still intact
That's why I'm still home trying to not doze off in front of my "management of chronic and terminal illnesses" chapter... Zzzz...
Till 6may...
I can go out with rebels without a worry
I can play Agricola wholeheartedly
I can stare blankly into the air without having to panick about where did i stop reading afterwards
I can watch Korean drama with my mother and grandma late into the night
I can facebook =)
I can read other things that I really wanna read (eg. hypnosis, schizophrenia, etc.)
etc.
At least this is an evidence that I still have my childlike quality intact- playfulness rockZ!

What does it feels like...
1. To be a soldier?
I was eating my $2.50 McBreakfast when I heard a really special interview on air.
98.3 live interviewed 3 Israeli women soldiers and asked them about their army lives.
Host: So, when do you go into the army?
Soldier 1: After you graduate from high school, you'll enter army at age 18. I was very shock when I first enter. I guess every boy or girl will be shock when they first enter. But later, it just got better.
Host: So is there a difference in the training between the men and women?
Soldier 2: Well, it really depends on what course you are in. If you are in air-force, maybe your Basic training will be 6 months, but there is really not much difference between men and women. If you are in admin or first-aid, then you'll have a Basic training of 2-3 months. There's a little difference for men and women in low level training, where the boys will train longer.
Host: So what do you gain from your experience?
Soldier 3: You learn to be more independent. I guess it was really hard in the beginning. But now, I miss my times in army. You know you cannot 'cry to your mummy' anymore. Maybe on the phone. But it's different. You cannot really cry to your mummy now.
Well, I tot of being a soldier before. Because I think there's a lot of things that I will be able to learn inside army and not from outside. And I've always admired the bonds they had with their fellow recruits.
But the social world seems to tell me that my thoughts are a bit crazy. And looking at all my chocolates and comfortable 'smelly' pillow, I have second thoughts.
2. To be a father?
I always try to fathom the excruciating joy and excitement from a father's perspective.
But I can't. Well, of cuz. I'm not a man.
And maybe because of that, that's why I really wanna know!
A dimension of thoughts and feelings that I will never ever be able to comprehend.
On my bus ride home, I saw a family waiting at the road junction.
The father was carrying his new-born baby, and his wife was by his side. Perhaps the baby is only 1-month old, because he looks so small.
The father gently rocked his soundly-sleeping baby up and down. Then he brought his lips close to his baby and gave him a sweet kiss on his forehead. Then, he smiled and looked into the face of the baby. As if the kiss was not enough, he brought his baby up again and, this time, pushed his lips against his forehead. Unable to curb his love, he kissed him once again.
Before he knew it, the traffic lights turned green and his wife tugged him to move.

Joshua 1:9
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go."
This is my 3rd night sleeping at 2am this week.
I thought I would collapse under my pile of school work.
Let me write down my workload and you'll understand.
6/3 Social Psy Midterm test
9/3 Health Psy 10 pg Position Paper
9/3 Bio Psy Presentation
10/3 Stats Misterm test
10/3 Bio Psy 2500 words Term Paper
So I might sleep at 2am every night until next Tues comes.
Afterwhich, it'll be 1 workload per week.
BUT! The Lord is gracious.
He makes me awake during most lectures and tutorials.
He allows me to remember doing my QT during early morning bus rides.
He makes me punctual for every lecture this week! (Yeah! My goal!)
He lets me have energy and a clear mind when I'm studying, even till 2am.
And He bless me with a deep sleep throughout the night.
Thank you, Lord.

Neber bring $$ again
This embarrassing thing has happened to me again and again.
Aww...
And it happened to me just this afternoon.
I had $0 when I was paying for my lunch!
It happened in school, then outside, etc.
Blur me! I didn't even know that I only have a few coins.
But I always thank God for the kind aunties who asked me to pay another time, or even give me free food.
Thank you, God for today's lunch. =)

Why am I doing my boring assignment
It's all for my future...
So that I can get my degree.
So I can get a good job.
So I can have money to pay for my school debt, house renovation, marriage, and the list goes on...
So I can have a better life...
Okie, I shall do my assignment.

Holy Spirit
I've read "Good Morning, Holy Spirit" by Benny Hinn. It teaches me an awful lot about the Holy Spirit. I once thought that I knew Him and personally experienced Him working in my life. And it really is Him. But now I feel that I have so much more to learn about Him.
Who is Holy Spirit?
Let me code from this book.
"The Holy Spirit is a person. And just like you, He can feel, perceive, and respond. He gets hurt. He has the ability to love and the ability to hate. He speaks and He has His own will."
"To understand the job of the Holy Spirit we need to understand the work of the Father and the Son. God is the one who gives the command. He has always been the one who says, "Let there be." From the beginning, it has been God who gives the orders.
On the other hand, it is God the Son who performs the commands of the Father. When God the Father said, "Let there be light," God the Son came and performed it. Then God the Holy Spirit brought the light."
"The Holy Spirit is the power of God. He is the power of the Father and of the Son. He is the one who brings into action the performance of the Son. Yet He is a person. He has emotions which are expressed in a way unique among the Trinity."
So Holy Spirit is actually a person. I like this illustration: A body lying in the coffin is not a person, it's a body. But one inside, filled with emotions and will is a person. A body is just an outer covering.
I think I really got to know more about Holy Spirit before I beign to share my personal experience.
But it really is interesting, isn't it?
