Rebels Friday Night Out!

Aww.... I miss Rebels so so so much!
Finally, I got to see them on Friday night!
It was great!

We went to this u-lu and yet famous place, called Timbre Bistro. This is how it looks from outside. It's like a little rest&relax bar.

This place is real bad.

1. You cannot ask for ice water after 9pm. Even though you are almost dying from thirst, you still cannot ask for ice water.

2. Don't bring ICE MOUNTAIN! Alvin's Ice Mountain water bottle got CONFISCATED, because you cannot bring outside drink inside. But at least give us ice water la. It's just plain water. Even if you get it from the tap, I also won't know...

3. ONLY Credit Cards are accepted after 10PM!!! Which means that poor students like us cannot pay cash after 10pm. Stupid idea...

4. It is so very noisy inside!!! When I talk to Rachel, who is just beside, I have to scream like a mad woman before she can hear me! Aw... So tiring.

5. There is no aircon. It is an enclosed outdoor place. It is so squeezy and there's no aircon. So all of us are sweating!

6. Be prepared to place your order and wait till the 2nd coming of Christ before the food is served. They took so long to serve our food. Come on la, it's just fish&chips! Poor Mervy.

7. They don't have enough money to pay the rent is it? The location is just beside the new Fort Canning Tunnel's carpark. It's at a remote corner of the carpark. You might not realise the place until you see the long string of queeue outside the bar. I don't understand why it is so popular?!

BUT I really enjoyed myself a lot!
It makes my day, it makes my week.
I can hate the place, but nothing beats than having Rebels with me.
They are the best!

Thank you Rachel, for sharing with me your stories. And I really love the encouragements that you often give.
<- Rach & I
Thank you Jiamin, for always suanning me, but always care for me too. And yes! Your terribly cute Pooh bear plaster on my ugly scarred hand.

Thank you Mervy, for just being there. Despite the busy army schedule, you're still here with us and your funny faces really make me smile.

Thank you Weiying, for letting us laugh and tease you about Barry. In the end, we'll always hope that you'll go on well with him. Oh ya! And your lame jokes always make us laugh!

Thank you Yanxing, your words always bring joy to us. Without you, it'll all be different.

Thank you Melissa, for letting me taste your drink. haha! You're like the angel amongst us, always attending our outings and being there. I will always rmb us exchanging emails when I was in China for 3 months. Your emails always make me pop up for my seat and rejoice!

Thank you Alvin, for sharing your joy and woes. You're a great friend not to be missed. Whenever I need somebody, you'll not escape from my mind.
Alvin & I

Rebels,
Our friendship is 6 year-old now. It hasn't been easy especially all of our routes diverge to different lanes. Some to NUS, some to SIM, some to army, some to SR and some to Poly. But I know, deep in us, our investment in this friendship will be deeprooted and it will not decay. I always think about this: Will I meet anyone else like us in my future? I guess not. We are so closely knitted despite our religions, our backgrounds, our routes, our gender and our location. No matter how many times I fail to turn up fro our gatherings, you've never failed to invite me time and again. Never forgetting me. I am so comforted to have you guys with me.

I am indeed blessed because of you, Rebels.

Friendship with Rebels is like an investment, never losing always gaining.

I love my tuition kids!

Natalie and Nellis are so adorable!
I love teaching them and having fun with them!

Nellis always has so much to share about her life, which is movies, prank callings and friends.
But, I'm always happy to hear her share about God!
She really grew! Spiritually!
Oh! I'm so delighted for her!

She, or rather her mum, bought me a bag as my Teachers' Day present.
Here is the bag, wrapped with aluminium foil. haha!
The beads are done by Natalie!
We did it together after our tuition session.

Natalie is a p4 girl who is very smart.
She loves to sing, loves Harry Potter and loves tuition!
haha! Yea, tuition with me, of cuz!

Today, she gave me a drawing.
Here it is-->
Those are chickens.

I often teach her Chinese with Allie, the elephant, because she has difficultity concentrating when it comes to Chinese, the subject that she dislikes.
And she wanted Allie to go home with me after tuition.
SO here's Allie!

The little piglet wallet is a gift from her too.
She bought it in China during her holidays.

Tuition sessions are always fun and enjoyable, and I love it so!
However, it is always tiring too.

I've got so many readings to read and essays to hand up.
Church activities are taking up my time but they are always fulfilling.
I haven't seen Rebels for AGES!
I miss them so much...

zhumin is tired...

Mozzie Invasion!

Mozzie invasion!

Oh my!
What is happening?!
Why are there so many mosquitoes in my house? Every where I go, I see a few mosquitoes flying about!
They are causing my grandma, uncle, mum, bro, sis and I to have mosquitoes BITES! NOT just the ORDINARY ones!!!
You'll see yellowish pus coming out and it seems to be a hole in your skin.
Eww.. That's really horrible!

Those mozzies! I'm gonna get them!
Never seen the violent me?
Here I come!
Transform!!!

I sprayed insectides all over my house before I slept yesterday night.
The mozzies left and went to the kitchen and out of my house.
BUT! BUT!! BUT!!!
I woke up at 5.45am this morning to whack those mozzies again!!!
They are determine to invade my house!!!
My achievement: I whacked 3 moquitoes with blood oozing out.
And I have a sense of satisfaction!!! =D
WAHAHA!!! I know that the blood on my hands are mine! They should return it to me!

Heh heh... I'm evil...

Irritated by mozzies... Huuump!

'Red' Day!

A normal Tuesday with a touch from God and it makes today a 'Red' Day! (Meaning a happy day)

This song "Top of the world" fully describes my feeling.

Top of the World
Lyrics by John Bettis
Music by Richard Carpenter

Such a feeling's coming over me
There is wonder in most everything I see
Not a cloud in the sky, got the sun in my eyes
and I won't be surprised if it's a dream.

Everything I want the world to be
Is now coming true especially for me
And the reason is clear, its because you are here
You're the nearest thing to heaven that I've seen.

Chorus:
I'm on the top of the world looking down on creation
And the only explanation I can find
Is the love that I found ever since you been around
Your love's put me at the top of the world.

It's a Christian song, by the way.

I was feeling quite insignificant for the past few days because I feel that I do not have any gifts or usefulness in church and God spoke to me so so so so soooo loudly today.

I was doing my QT and it reminds me that I have a place in God's Kingdom; I am His princess.

I began to read a book "And the angels were silent" by Max Lucado, which I bought many years ago but never spend time reading it.
"Activities aren't a sign of maturity." I always think that I am useful or precious in God's eyes when I am doing something.

However, that's not fully right.
God will still see me as precious, as His princess, even if I am not doing anything but just keep my heart close to Him.

This is something that I bring home today.

And it really brightens my day! Hee.
So happy!
I'm on cloud 9! Wooo....

Some pics that we took today:

Huge Smiles .......................... & ..................Weiting's 'smiles'

We are angry! Hump!............... See no evil; Speak no evil; Hear no evil!
