My Vacation

So wads up in my 3-mth hols?

1. PLAY!
a. Boardgames
b. Science Center outing
c. many 21st celebrations
Well, it's the company that matters.

2. Work!
a. 3-day surgical mask packer
b. Care Ambassador @ TTSH
To explain a bit, my job is to care and assure patients of their well-being in the hospital. I truly enjoy this job. You get to meet new people every day, get to assist them in their problems, handle complaints and unhappiness, and get to be appreciated for my efforts. I get a lot of satisfaction every day! It's a truly fabulous thing to enjoy my work! Thank you God! =)

3. Serve!
a. God's given privillege to lead worship for GDOP
b. And Mission Sunday
I always feel very inadequate, but God still use me to honour Him. =)

4. Camp!
a. RYM Youth Camp (a part of the committee =))
b. NUS Psych Camp
This is my 1st attempt to join a camp in NUS. Hoping to know more people.

5. Others
a. Being a research assistant.
It's not really a job, though I will get some credits. It's more for the experience to expose myself to the real psychology research field.
b. Korea trip!
God called me to this trip. Why? I dunno, He will reveal things at His own timing.
And I strongly believe He will provide! But how? I dunno, He does things beyond my understanding. =)

It has been an exciting vacation for me. I'm loving it. =)

natural selection

The exuberant tail of the peacock is thought to be the result of sexual selection by females. This peacock is an albino — it carries a mutation that makes it unable to produce melanin. Selection against albinos in nature is intense because they are easily spotted by predators or are unsuccessful in competition for mates, and so these mutations are usually rapidly eliminated by natural selection (Cited from Wikipedia).

It's such a beautiful peacork. But it's such a pity that their genes cannot be passed on due the cruel fact of natural selection.

神的话

看了红星大奖之后，我一直一直都忘不了周初明的感谢词。

可能只有在困境中，人才真的体验到神的话是活的。
我深信同样的经文，对每个人来说都有不同的意义。
如初明所宣告的，对他来说更是一种更深的意义。

要如此宣告神的话语而完全的相信是一个极为困难的事，尤其是当身边的种种事物都似乎在极力的告诉你完全相反的事。

以神的话作为灵粮，
以神的话作为信心的根基。
我希望我每一天都能体验神的话活活的向我显现！

I miss playing Age of Empire...

exam stress

It is during this exam period that I realise how playful I can be or wanna be.

The temptation is strong
The desire is huge
I really wanna go and play AGRICOLA!
It's a new board game brought by Junming, and I love it so!

But...
My determination is still firm
My self-instilled discipline is still intact
That's why I'm still home trying to not doze off in front of my "management of chronic and terminal illnesses" chapter... Zzzz...

Till 6may...
I can go out with rebels without a worry
I can play Agricola wholeheartedly
I can stare blankly into the air without having to panick about where did i stop reading afterwards
I can watch Korean drama with my mother and grandma late into the night
I can facebook =)
I can read other things that I really wanna read (eg. hypnosis, schizophrenia, etc.)
etc.

At least this is an evidence that I still have my childlike quality intact- playfulness rockZ!
